Leadership Development Community

The Leadership Development Community (LDC) is located in Shove Hall and is specially designed to provide first year students with opportunities to explore and develop leadership styles and techniques.  Selected students participate in and help lead weekly programming, participate in an LDC retreat, become members of Alpha Phi Omega (a national, co-ed service fraternity), have an opportunity to travel to Orlando, Florida for a national leadership conference, engage with Cazenovia College and the surrounding community through service, plus much more! The best part is that you’ll be living with other student leaders just as passionate as you.
The LDC is looking for students with a wide range of leadership experiences. If you were highly involved in high school, this community will help you to “hit the ground running” to make the most of your time at Cazenovia College. However, the LDC is also a great place for people with high potential to become leaders. Even if you weren’t involved in high school, if you have a desire to be highly involved in college and participate in extra-curricular activities, the LDC will provide you all of those opportunities. To be successful in the LDC, all you need is a positive attitude and dedication to developing into the best leader you can be.
