, Editor for Feministing, is coming to Cazenovia College November 11, 2013 from 7 – 8 p.m. in Coleman Hall Rooms A & B. All Cazenovia College students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.
Founded in 2004, Feministing is an online community for feminists and their allies, created to better connect feminists online and off, and to encourage activism. Since the fall of 2009, writers for Feministing have been traveling to college campuses and other locations across the country and internationally, provoking dialogue on the state of the feminist movement(s) today. Discussion topics are diverse; covering a wide range of issues, from the "war on women" to transgender liberation, from building consent culture on campuses to racial justice, from online activism to Beyoncé. Katie Halper will be discussing these topics and more during her visit to Cazenovia College.
