College Invites Campus and Wider Community to Audition for Fall Musical - "WORKING"

"Working" The Musical is based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book of the same name by Studs Terkel
Cazenovia, N.Y. – (August 30, 2013)  Cazenovia College will be holding auditions for its Fall musical, "Working", on Monday, Sept. 9 at 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., at The Catherine Cummings Theatre on Lincklaen Street in Cazenovia.

Students, employees and members of the wider community are invited to join the College in this production.  The cast for "Working" will consist of an ensemble of between 6 – 17 actors/actresses/singers, some of which will have solo singing roles and some will only need to sing as part of a group.
Please prepare a short song in a contemporary style.  The song does not have to be from a musical.  Pop, Rock, Folk, and Country music are all represented in the score.  All those who audition must also be prepared to tell a short story or do a short monologue.

According to musical director and Artist in Residence David Lowenstein, "All of the characters in the show are real people so I am looking for actors and actresses who can be very natural in the way they speak on stage."
For more information about the auditions, contact David Lowenstein via email: or phone: 315.655.7238.  For more information on "Working" visit
