Crisis Communications Plan

In a time of crisis or emergency, it is imperative that Cazenovia College act swiftly and deliver a rapid, accurate and complete response.  The release of any information relating to a crisis/emergency situation will be coordinated through the Office of Communications.

The Vice President for Marketing & Communications – at the directive of the President, Executive Vice President and/or Duty Administrator – will be notified to handle campus-wide internal communications and (if necessary) outside news media coverage.  The Vice President for Marketing & Communications, working with senior staff, the Emergency Response Team, and campus security, will serve as College spokesperson and be the ONLY College representative to disseminate information to the news media and other external sources.
